Getting the gig...

Well the Ms Adventure Premiere date is now Friday night at 9pm on January 19, 2007!!!

This is almost a year to the day that I sent in my audition tape!! Here you can view the actual tape! (if the technology is working...)

To make it I put together a bunch of personal clips to show Animal Planet that my life was ALREADY a Mis- Adventure!!! They agreed and thank goodness I can now share my adventures with the world in the new year on ANIMAL PLANET!!! Enjoy and stay tuned for the show!!!

TEAM KOALA

These were the peeps that helped me get the Koala out of the tree!!! We put a coller on her so they can track her life now and study more Koala behavior....

It took all of us, 5 hours, 2 ropes and a HUGE ladder...but we did it!!! Safe and secure and even lookin' cool with our "Sunnies" (that's what they call shades).

Go Team Koala.
Who now has a Colla.

Holla.

Ain't no Koala back girl

Well, today was the day I wanted to get to the bottom of parenting in the world of Koalas. The male stops by for "coffee" and never comes back. The female is only pregnant for 32 days-- then she spends the next 6 months with a baby in her pouch, then 6 more months hangin' around learnin' the ropes, and then the baby is on its own. The mom raises the kid all by herself, a perfect "single mom" scenerio. Without the child support.

But today we had to catch a wild koala for research purposes and I got to hold her and her baby. We did some measurements and then let her back into her favorite tree. Not without her freaking out on me and jumping and clawing at me--a nice reminder that this is NOT a PETTING ZOO. These are wild animals and can lose their cool at ANY second.

But remember...there are no Mistakes...only MS. ADVENTURES.

And I am about to put some neosporin and a bandaid on this one.

Bush Buggy-in'

Well, how does one get to see crocodiles??? How does one travel to see koalas???

NO, not by car, not by plane, not even by bus...by BUSH BUGGY. All I know is forget the VESPA, I want to travel everywhere in a bush buggy!! However, if there is a chance I can repel to get somewhere I will do that, but for now, I'll take this homemade lawnmower vehicle over the hills and through the woods...to the next MS. ADVENTURE!!!

A true FISH out of WATER

Well, just in case you were wondering, does Ms. Adventure actually get IN the water?? Only with proper gear. Safety first.

And NOTHIN' says safety like a yellow snorkle and orange flippers.
